During the hot and heavy days of August the CVOS membership forgo our normal Tuesday meetings at the Catawba County Extension offices for the annual BBQ. Â

This CVOS Members event is hosted by Ironwood Estate Orchids in Hickory.  Members are treated to mountains of Dale Erikson’s award winning pulled BBQ and Phyllis Erickson taking the helm as our most gracious hostess.

Members bring home-made pot luck sides . . . and not only can orchid growers grow orchids, they can really cook also.  No goes home hungrey.

Orchid shopping and member camaraderie before help make this a favorite event of our year.
